Syndicate Ownership

Syndicate ownership offers a cost-effective way to enjoy all the benefits of racehorse ownership.

Alongside his work as a bloodstock agent, Nathaniel runs Pimlico Racing Syndicates and the Kingsclere Racing Club.

KINGSCLERE RACING CLUB

The KRC horses race in the black with gold cross colours made famous by the 1971 Derby winner Mill Reef, and the majority are trained at Park House Stables in Kingsclere by Andrew Balding.  Nearly all of the Club’s horses are bred on the Kingsclere Stud by Emma Balding and, now into our 16th season, the vast majority of our runners are out of mares that have run in the Club colours over the years.

Since launching in 2008, the Club has had over 125 winners including at Ascot, Chester, Epsom, Goodwood, Newbury, Newmarket, Sandown Park etc and numerous placings too, including at Royal Ascot and Glorious Goodwood.

These have included Elm Park in the Group 2 Royal Lodge/Group 1 Racing Post Trophy and current KRC star Ranch Hand, who has won in Listed company and landed the All-Weather Championships Marathon Final at Lingfield Park in 2021.

The cost of membership is currently £6,000 for the calendar year, which covers all costs and entitles each shareholder to an equal 1/50th share of any prize money won by the horses.

Guest memberships (entitling the member’s guest to join us on racedays and for all events on the social diary) cost a further £1,000. The Club is limited to 25 members, with the Baldings retaining the other 25 shares, and we tend to have between 15-18 horses in training.

PIMLICO RACING SYNDICATES

Pimlico Racing has horses with top-class trainers in Ireland, the UK and France, predominantly focusing on National Hunt.

Shares start from 2.5% – 10% depending on the horse, allowing members to experience the exclusivity of owning a racehorse, but at an affordable cost.

Our ambition is to have winners on the biggest of stages and we pride ourselves on offering an outstanding, personal and transparent ownership service along the way, ensuring that you enjoy every moment of your involvement as a racehorse owner.

As a syndicate, we enjoyed our biggest success to date with Zoffany Bay landing a €100,000 Listed handicap hurdle at Auteuil.   Since launching in late 2019, we have had 14 winners at a strike-rate of 17%, with black-type performers in the UK and France, and over £160,000 in prize-money.
