Quinte success at Longchamp caps incredible week

 In Nathaniel Barnett Bloodstock News

It has been an amazing week in France for owner Sangwin Holdings Ltd, with a double at Fontainebleau on Monday followed by a brilliant Quinte success at Longchamp yesterday with Laith.

The three year old, purchased at Arqana’s November Sale, had shed his maiden tag in Cagnes in January before running well behind the high-class Silius.

Having his second start in a Quinte and dropping back to 1300m for the first time, he was given a wonderful ride by Aurelien Lemaitre, who brought Laith up the inner to come from near last to first in the straight, the son of Zelzal producing a burst of speed to draw clear of his field.

It was a highly promising run from a smart young sprinter who looks to have a lot more improvement to come.  Many congratulations to his owner and to trainer Jerome Reynier, for whom this was a 30th career Quinte success.
