€240,000 Doctor Dino colt tops Arqana Day 1

The market for stores at Arqana was always likely to prove very strong, particularly at the top end, following record sales results in Ireland last month.

So it proved, but owner Will Sangwin was determined to purchase the Doctor Dino colt out of the winning No Risk At All mare Out Of Risk, consigned by Haras De Montaigu.  He was our top target of the day and, though Noel George was a determined underbidder, we were delighted to acquire the colt, who looked a natural athlete, boasts an impeccable pedigree and is a top-class prospect for the future.  I was pleased to be speak to France Sire about the purchase shortly afterwards.

We added a second two-year-old to Sangwin Bloodstock’s string with the purchase of Channel Consignment’s Telecaster colt, Celtic Chief.  A loose-moving, imposing individual, he is by a sire I like a lot and we were relieved when the hammer came down!  Both will head into training with Hugo Merienne.
