Chantilly Thoroughbreds celebrate first winner!

 In News

Chantilly Thoroughbreds was launched this autumn and we were delighted to see the black and gold colours make an appearance in the winners’ enclosure, with Dear Weaver scoring on just her second run in our colours, in a driving finish to the €29,000 handicap chase at Fontainebleau yesterday.

Claimed at Dieppe at the end of August, she had run very creditable races in defeat at Auteuil, but looked a different horse over the larger obstacles.  Given an excellent, front-running ride by one of the emerging talents of the weighing room, Gabin Meunier, she jumped beautifully and showed a really gutsy attitude to hold off the eventual runner-up in the final strides.

Chantilly Thoroughbreds offers aspiring racehorse owners from around the world the opportunity to join forces and take shares in horses in training in Chantilly, the home of French racing.  The prize-money is exceptional, the variety of the racing and racecourses is fantastic and we also have a social diary that includes visits to the French Gold Cup and Prix de Diane, as well as several stable visits and lunches in Chantilly.  For further information about how you can join in the fun and become a syndicate owner in France, please visit chantillythoroughbreds.com.

Congratulations to all involved in Dear Weaver, who will now head to Pau and target some of the valuable handicaps there this winter.
