Bel Amigo scores at Carlisle
Claimed after winning over fences at Compiegne last spring, it was fantastic to see Bel Amigo make it third time lucky since joining Nick Alexander, with a game all-the-way success at Carlisle yesterday under Bruce Lynn.
The six-year-old son of Jeu St Eloi had some useful form to his name over hurdles and fences in his native France, but had just needed a couple of runs to find his feet in the UK. A wind op in February has clearly helped him and there should be plenty more to come, following this defeat of an Irish point winner and a 121-rated maiden hurdle winner.
Congratulations to all involved!
