Arqana Grand-Steeple Sale

I was delighted to purchase two horses at the 2026 Arqana Grand-Steeple Sale, with both heading to the UK to be trained by Olly Murphy.

Nils Holgerson had made an excellent impression when winning on debut for trainer Hugo Merienne and the son of Ivanhowe was understandably very popular at the sale, which took place after racing on Saturday. a

Don Dandy, who had won very nicely at Compiegne on the final of three starts for Marine Pineda, is another with a lovely profile for the UK and I was very pleased to be able to purchase him, as he had initially been led out of the ring without reaching his reserve.

His form stacks up very well and hopefully he can make up into a very smart juvenile in the season ahead.
