Recent purchase Melbora wins at Deauville

Melbora was claimed at Longchamp for just €15,400 in June and, on her second start for new connections, she more than recouped her purchase price when scoring in great style at Deauville yesterday.

She was given an uncomplicated ride by Eddy Hardouin, who sat wide, with cover, and kicked shortly after entering the home straight. Melbora showed a very good attitude, quickening well and coming home with a bit to spare from two well-handicapped rivals.

There is another race for her back at Deauville in August and she should make a bold bid to follow up. Congratulations to owners Sangwin Holdings and trainer Elias Mikhalides.
